I Can Make You Sunsets

Craft entire worlds...

Thought Experiment!

Thu Feb 4, 2010, 6:33 PM
Okay! Heres an interesting thought for you!

Okay, In some kind of freak temporal thing possibly involving aliens (Doesn't really matter), your conscienceness now was teleported back in time to your body when you were 5 years old, and along with it all your memories and knowledge.

So, you are 5 years old with the knowledge of however old you are now, so extremely smart, and more importantly you know every major event that is going to happen from then till now, and strangely you remember their exact details perfectly. You can easily stop major man made disasters, or help save THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of lives in natural disasters. You have all the knowledge to do so.

The thing is, you realised that noone else knows your conscience came from a period foward in time, so everyone just thinks you're an exceptionally bright 5 year old, but you do your best to hide the full extent of your knowledge.

Now, due to the nature of the temporal thing whatever, nothing you do can cause a paradox, you're free to do what you please.

You have several options from here onwards... You can try and live a normal life, but you will know who in your life dies, leaves you, comes in, comes out, etc.. You could easily change or manipulate events in your favour, and it wouldn't be hard to make comfortable amounts of money with the knowledge you have of world events in the future. You could live the perfect life, with enough knowledge to make sure that perfect lover never left you, saving your loved ones from accidents, etc..

You could also use your knowledge to save the world from disasters. You could do your best to fore-warn people of major attacks, earthquakes, etc.. saving lives. But how though? If you just came out and said that there will be a major attack anywhere, people will get suspicious. They could think you were in league with them. Maybe people will realise you do know the future, and you could become a scientific experiment...
